We’ve been getting emails from stockists.
Copies of Off the Rails have been going missing from bookstores across Sydney. Not one or two. Enough that multiple stores have flagged it. A video circulating online, now with over 170,000 views, appears to show young people walking out with copies under their arms.
We’re not sure what the appropriate response is. A book about teenagers who see the city differently, being taken by teenagers who see the city differently.
We’ve spoken to our stockists and are restocking affected stores. No bookstore was left at a loss. Mutt Books has compensated for all missing stock. If your local copy is gone, we have more on the way. We’d prefer people buy them, but we understand the irony isn’t lost on anyone.
